Text Box: Safety Milestone Awards are recognition for achieving a goal. Safety Milestones give your company an economical tool to recognize participants for their contribution toward meeting your corporate safety goals. Safety Milestones send an important message to the workforce that top management is serious about worker safety and recognizes its value by providing an award for safety achievement. These programs are typically based on a calendar period. Most are targeted toward recognizing achievement of a quarterly, semiannual or annual goal. Safety Milestone Programs can recognize the value of the individual’s contribution to the team’s safety success.   · Work Hour Program. The most common work hour programs are fundamentally identical to the annual Safety Award Programs in its design. The difference is that the recognition period is the number of safe work hours of all workers at a plant or work site, instead of calendar days.
